Martial Arts After School Program
Looking for a disciplined, structured environment for your kids after school? Then look no further than Kruger's ATA ASP Program!
Started in 2012, Mrs. Kruger saw the need for a place for kids to go after school. A place that was structured and disciplined, that helped kids with their homework, checked it for completion and accurateness, and kept the kids away from the TV. This is how our program came to be.
Daily pickup is available on a part-time (minimum of twice per week) or full-time basis, with a private class two days a week that was created just for our ASP students. This means daily snack, homework, and Taekwondo is done by 5:15pm so you get back family time. Cost is dependant on school- Dnv schools are $12 per day and county/IN schools are $16 per day. Same household family members are half price. A one-time sign-up fee applies for their uniform and t-shirt as well.
Now in it's eleventh year, the program has grown massively to encompass a total of six vans and one passenger shuttle (all complete with seatbelts for every person and booster seats for those under age 8), nine staff members, nearly a hundred local children being picked up, and a total of twenty-two schools on our route. We also offer early-dismissal pickup for no extra charge and are open for full-day camps when there is no school for ANY reason. NEW in 2018 is face-to-face drop off at our facility for children with developmental delays or behavioral issues that prevent them from riding the standard school bus. And NEW in 2019 is the addition of a COVINGTON route!
***Please note that we are NOT a child care facility licensed or endorsed by DCFS. We do follow Illinois State and Federal guidelines regarding adult to child ratio (actually we keep a better than recommended ratio), trainings and certifications, and safety measures. Our staff is all CPR and First Aid Certified, Background Checked, and a safe, insured, and licensed driver with a clean history. Mr. & Mrs. Kruger have many advanced certifications in Disruptive Student Management, Pressure Point Control Tactics, Bullying Prevention, and Teaching Children With Autism. Monthly trainings are mandatory for all staff (including underage volunteers) and those include emergency and fire evacuation, lock down and mass shooting drills.
This Program IS Tax Deductible as child care.
